The game features three different game modes - solo, where players explore a hand-made world with unique levels and challenges, co-op, where players work together to fight their way out of a factory while facing security robots set to stop them, and versus, where two players can fight against each other in various unique game modes such as deathmatch, territory, search and deliver and secure the radio - all using split-screen or Remote Play Together.

Chronac combines the excitement of platformer games with the unpredictability of hand-made levels and unique gameplay mechanics, offering players a unique and engaging gaming experience. In co-op mode, players need to work together as a team to overcome the challenges set by the factory's security robots, navigating their way through hand-made sections while surviving the robots' onslaught and uncovering special abilities to aid them in their mission.

In versus mode, two players can choose from various unique game modes such as deathmatch, territory, search and deliver and secure the radio. The players need to employ their skills and abilities to outmaneuver their opponents and come out ontop, with the winner getting bragging rights and potentially special rewards and bonuses.
