Hello everyone! We are Mechland, a small development team of two members. This is our brand new side-scrolling souls-like game, Black Spire!

Our initial goal in designing this game was to create a ‘Souls game for everyone’, so we simplified our basic game control to just attack and roll. The character will move on itself. Attack and parry share the same button. We hope this design can further streamline combat controls so that the transition between attack and defense can be more seamless.

Of course, you can do far more than this. You can experience so much more in this adventure, getting equipment and accessories and learning a wide array of moves and magics that can be really helpful when you are in a pinch.

Please take your time to explore Black Spire and hone your skills. Strategize your combat style however you like, and slay every opponent that stands in your way!

You’ll also encounter many characters along the journey. Listen to their stories and decide whether you want to help them. It might not always be easy, but you might reap the rewards of friendship in unexpected ways.

Like any Souls game, boss fights are meant to be challenging. These elite enemies will try everything to stop you. And you can only go higher over their dead bodies.
