What you want to play is a typical inn management game. The Inn Mage will disappoint you because:
Food: only roast meat and beer.
Furniture: only table, bench, bed, oven.
Customer: you don't need to take care of them. You just don't attack them.
Employee: you can only summon skeletons as employees by using the magic scroll.
Competitor: It really exists and needs you to deal with it.
Magic scroll: you need to use magic scroll creatively to win, rather than just rely on expanding the inn.
Combat: just like other ARPGs.
Steal: just like other RPGs.
