Creator's Asteroid

Creator's Asteroid is a tile-based "Metroidvania Maker", where you can design, play, and share your own 2D action-adventure platformer worlds, all with a friendly papercraft theme.

Whether you're here to explore your creativity in level design, make something fun for your friends, prototype layouts for a future game, or play through what others have created, Creator's Asteroid has something for everyone!

In Maker Mode, create your own world with drag-and-drop tiles that include:
Destructible and indestructible terrain,

Dozens of ability upgrades that boost attacks, increase mobility, and unlock new powers,

Various enemy and boss-enemy types with unique behaviors,

Hazards ranging from spikes and ability sappers, to water and extreme environments,

Decorations and signs to add flourish to your world and to help guide your players,

and more!

Each world can consist of up to 81 rooms (9x9), each encompassing a 29x13 tile space. That's over 30,000 tiles of space per world! Build using hundreds of distinct tiles (500+), including dozens of unique upgrades (50+) to mix and match into your world!

Playtest your design one room at a time, or from the very beginning. Once you're satisfied with your world, playtest it from start to finish to generate a world file that you can share with friends or through Steam Workshop!

Over a dozen playable training stages are also included to help get you familiar with many of the level elements and upgrade abilities that you'll be making with. Or, jump straight into designing, and learn as you go!

Creator's Asteroid has been a 4+ year passion project in the making, developed solo and after-hours. I'm immensely grateful to everyone who has enjoyed and supported this game!
