In the turn-based strategy game War of Resistance, you take on the role of the Communist forces during the Second Sino-Japanese War, fighting against the Japanese army in the upcoming war, and later battling the Republic of China to win the Civil War.
The early stages of the game are challenging, as the Communist forces were relatively weak in history. However, once you understand the game mechanics, you can achieve unexpected results.
Game Mechanics
Resolutions: Use resolutions to guide your nation's direction at each point in time, whether it be in domestic politics, foreign policy, or military strategy. Sometimes, your decisions may deviate from the actual historical storyline, but that’s okay — after all, the ultimate goal is to paint China red, right?
Combat: Make full use of terrain, tactics, and troop combinations to achieve surprising outcomes in battle. The specifics are for you to explore.
General Development: Accumulate traits through continuous battles, or unlock new tactics as you progress.
