Choose Your Master
THE PIT is all about the masters. Each a master of their respective domain with a wide variety of abilities and upgrades to fit all types of playstyles. Slow and heavy hitting, fast and vicious, smooth and flowing, each one able to take advantage of the environment and dominate THE PIT.

Descend the infinite depths
Descend into fully procedural caves filled with treasures to satiate desires both subtle and gross. And terrors to freeze your soul. Enjoy unique new levels as you delve further and further into the unknown abyss, using your terrain to your advantage, and to your enemies detriment. Explore the vast underground caverns with which the masters remain contained.

Fight
Engage in battle against demonic and angelic deities aimed to ensure your destruction. Featuring biblically accurate angels, leaping beast, and ominous eyes to put your skills to the test.

Upgrade your master
Items are a major part of your evolution through THE PIT, featuring a wide range of modifications, everything from stat bonuses, to unique abilities upgrades, to immense upsides and stark downsides to curate your gameplay. The most critical items are Ability upgrade items.

Ability Upgrades allow you to take control of your master and your way of playing them by upgrading your abilities with unique and interesting augments to empower your master. Whenever one of these items is acquired, you gain a skill point to allocate for a specific abilities upgrade tree, providing valuable utility, damage or functionality that will change how you play, things such as:
- Projectiles return to you
- Kills reset cooldown
- Duplicate area of effect
- Critical strike chance and damage
- Duplicate projectiles fired
- Increased damage per enemy hit
- And many, many more

Multiple ways to play
THE PIT will feature a few different game modes to allow you to tailor the game to the way you want to play.
Want more of a challenge? Try the GAUNTLET mode, which grants enemies items and upgrades every level.
Want to compete against your friends and online to see how long you can survive endless waves of enemies? There's a mode for that too!
And of course, online multiplayer to play with friends

This game is being developed by a sole PROGRAMMER developer, so while my goals for the game are lofty, they are certainly attainable and with enough support, I'll happily grind out community requests as well. Development has reached the alpha stages and I stress the programmer part as while some designs are set in stone, the visuals will go through many iterations and upgrades as time goes on!
