As The Light Goes Out

As The Light Goes Out is an Emergency Rescue-themed Emergency Services simulation game. You will become the Emergency Services Commander, overseeing all actions and deploying teams to rescue the public from random disasters across the map. You can choose from the Police or the Fire Department to begin your career, become their top Commander and cooperate with other departments to protect the citizens and the city from danger.

As the Commander of the Fire Department, you are responsible for managing all kinds of emergencies, from small things like removing a wasps’ nest to significant matters such as a gas leak. While at the Fire Department, not only may you encounter fire accidents, but you may also come across natural disasters or emergent public events. However, there is no need to worry; firefighters with various duties and varied vehicles, as well as tools, are all at your service. You can keep the damage to a minimum as long as you reasonably coordinate the resources.

As the Commander of the Police Department, it’s impossible to maintain good public security without taking your hard work into account. From minor things like arguments in the neighborhood to major crime investigations, you must maintain public security for the area under your jurisdiction while cooperating with other departments to manage the live scenes for various incidents—for example, traffic incidents, safety precautions during the festive season, fires etc. Apart from daily responsibilities, you will also assign resources to lead crime investigations within your jurisdiction to arrest any suspects for solving the cases.

Although the Paramedics are the support unit, this doesn't mean their responsibilities are less important than everyone else. They will strictly follow your instruction to cooperate with any actions, stick to their assigned duties and do the best they can to save lives from disastrous events. They will choose the best treatment for different diseases, putting the patient’s health as their top priority. Whether it’s the burning flames or a rioting crowd, you can always find them by your side.

Whilst acting as the Commander of the fire department, you will be able to unlock wardens to help you handle disasters and ask them to investigate the scene in order to find the root cause of the fire. Once they have completed the investigation, you can also read the details of the fire on the investigation reports. Is this just an accident, or else?

As commander of the police department, you can send detectives to investigate and collect evidence on the target event. Each detective has its own strengths and weaknesses, which will bring different experiences through the investigation. You also need to make decisions based on the feedback of the detectives during the investigation process, lead the investigation to the right direction and eventually arrest the murderer. At the same time, pay attention to the safety of your detectives, it is also very necessary to dispatch back-ups in a timely manner.
