WHAT IS THE STARFIGHTER?


1. THE STARFIGHTER is a thrilling, fast, big, very 3D, realistic, Full HD, modern and real-time 3D graphics combat arcade flight simulator in which you must be a heroic extra-terrestrial starfighter pilot, fly the two-seater Griffin Starfighter Mk I or Mk II with a Radar-Intercept Officer and wipe out the evil robot extra-terrestrial King Nimrod, his massive military fleet and restore peace to the universe. King Nimrod's fleet consists of spaceships, buildings, attack helicopters, attack submarines, frigates, boats, rocket launcher equipped armored buggies, combat drones, aviation containers, etc.

2. THE STARFIGHTER video game is 2 games in 1-- it is a 3D combat flight simulator and a 3D space flight (astronautics) simulator.

3. THE STARFIGHTER is a kids' and college students' game.


4, You have a choice of choosing Griffin Starfighter Mk I or Griffin Starfighter Mk II with 2 different missiles to fly in the game. 

THE ORIGINAL SPACE STORY IN THE GAME:

You are Paladin, a heroic starfighter pilot who flies the legendary Griffin Starfighter. You are from a fictitious exoplanet called The Hive which is located light-years away from the Earth. The evil King Nimrod and his forces from an undisclosed exoplanet in a galaxy somewhere in the universe are conquering the universe. The leader of The Hive, Queen Crusher, opposes King Nimrod. You and your Radar-Intercept Officer code named Wizard now have to fly in the Griffin Starfighter and restore peace in the universe by vanquishing King Nimrod, all of his forces and all of his assets wherever they may be. The despicable King Nimrod and his forces are mechanical extra-terrestrial (E.T.) lifeforms known as the Raptorbots, while you (Paladin), Wizard and Queen Crusher are insectlike extra-terrestrial (E.T.) lifeforms known as the Hivians.

THE GRIFFIN STARFIGHTER SPECIFICATIONS:

The Griffin Starfighter Mk I is a sleek gold colored near-mirror surface finish two-seater in tandem, twin-tail, single rocket engine, extra-terrestrial multirole starfighter with control-canards, and double-delta wings. The Griffin Starfighter Mk II is a variant spacecraft colored orange, and having light cyan color at the wingtips. The laser cannons  of the Griffin Starfighter Mk II are located underwing and closer to the centerline of spacecraft. The Mk II variant is canardless, and is equipped with the Lynx Missiles. The Mk II variant is faster than the Griffin Starfighter Mk I, and the Lynx Missiles are faster and more lethal than Jaguar Missiles. The Griffin Starfighters can indeed glide in Earth's atmosphere. During spaceflight, the Griffin Starfighters use an Attitude Determination & Control System (ADCS) to change the attitude of the spacecraft. The Griffin Starfighters are equipped with a spaceworthy Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) dual axis multi-beam technology radar which gives its pilot instant situational awareness of the battlespace. The Griffin Starfighters also have Regenerating Shields and a Turbo Speed Thrust Level rocket motors. The Griffin Starfighters' canopies are an all-plastic design. The angled airframe of the Griffin Starfighters also have radar stealth (low observable) characteristics, like the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor and the Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk, to deflect radar signals. The design of the Griffin Starfighters is such that it has a low radar signature. The Griffin Starfighter Mk I is equipped with wingtip mounted High Energy Laser Cannons directed-energy weapon and the Jaguar Fire-And-Forget Missiles. The current Griffin Starfighter models have no flare and chaff dispensers.

THE FIRE-AND-FORGET MISSILES OF THE GRIFFIN STARFIGHTER:


The Griffin Starfighter's Fire-And-Forget Missiles are beyond-visual-range missiles. The Jaguar Missiles (used only in the Griffin Starfighter Mk I spacecraft) have warheads that produce more than 300 pounds penetrating blast fragmentation explosive force.

The Lynx Missiles have warheads that produce more than 500 pounds penetrating blast fragmentation explosive force.  The Lynx Missiles fly faster than the Jaguar Missiles. Both the Jaguar and Lynx Missiles' engines are solid rocket motors. The fuze type of both missiles is impact fuze.

· There are 2 Griffin Starfighters equipped with 2 different missiles (the Mk I variant and Mk II variant) available for you to choose from in the game. You are not limited to play only one starfighter in the game. 

· There are 11 massive combat missions for you to fly so that you will never be bored to play the game over and over again.

· THE STARFIGHTER video game is a Full HD video game. It has crisp, real-time 3D graphics and there is a lot of detail in the 3D graphics.


· You can replay a mission whenever you want to.

· There are enemy waves in the game; there is a climactic battle at the end between the villain, King Nimrod, and the hero, Paladin. 

· The space combat in THE STARFIGHTER is visually stunning like in the Star Trek: Picard science fiction/drama TV series.

· THE STARFIGHTER is a smoothe, very pretty, highly realistic and real-time 3D combat arcade game. Being an Epic Games's Unreal Engine 4 made game, you get to fly a winged spaceship through photorealistic skies with moving clouds and be in environments that have winds when you are fighting on Earth. When you are in space you get to fly in a dusty spaceflight environment, fly under light-emitting stars, fly close to 3D revolving planets, large spaceships and 3D orbiting satellites.


- Rendering effects such as emissive color, translucency, etc. are used all throughout the game. There are other unique real-time 3D visual effects/post-process effects used in the game such as explosion flashes, smoke plumes, sparks, lens flare effect, transparent flames, fog, camera shake, real-time reflections, exposure, etc. Experience 3D explosions, 3D smoke, 3D sparks, 3D flying missiles and 3D lasers in real-time in THE STARFIGHTER video game.


- Moreover, real top quality National Aeronautics & Space Administration (NASA) satellite images of the planets in the Solar System were used to make this game.


- The jet exhaust of the Griffin Starfighter is like the real life jet exhaust of a jet fighter.


- THE STARFIGHTER game correctly simulates the missile firing of an U.S. Air Force Thunderbolt II attack aircraft.

THE STARFIGHTER game correctly simulates the terrain and landscape at Stonehenge in England, the United Kingdom and at a lake, light forest and hills location on Earth.


· Some of the enemies in this video game are Artificial Intelligence (AI) controlled enemies. Therefore, you will have to fly defensively all throughout this game to avoid enemy laser fire and enemy Hydra 70 surface-to-air laser guided missile attacks.
· You can change camera views in this action video game. You can look backwards (Check Your Six), have a Zoom-In camera view and have the Normal (Tail-To-Nose Cone) camera view.


· You can do Stationkeeping (keep your spacecraft in the same orbit as the target spacecraft) like Astronaut Neil Armstrong, chase enemy spaceships that are orbiting planets in deep space and then wipe them out.


· You can fly the Griffin Starfighter in circles around the planets in this video game. Experience what it's like to fly in a spaceship in the eclipse of a planet and what it's like to fly in a spaceship in the Sun.

· THE STARFIGHTER has a pause button like a highend Sony PlayStation 5 game so that you can pause the game while you are playing.

MORE ABOUT THE STARFIGHTER VIDEO GAME:

This video game is a Linked Missions Action Game. The player must complete each combat mission before advancing to the next one. In each mission the player must destroy all enemy targets. This game has a non-linear option, which means you can start at any of the 11 missions and you don't have to start at first mission (the Stonehenge Mission).

You have a choice to fly 2 different Griffin Starfighters complete with different missiles.

The storyline in THE STARFIGHTER is similar to the storyline in the Robotech: Macross space opera animated television series created by Carl Macek for Harmony Gold USA and in the Starcom: The U.S. Space Force cartoon series which was produced by DIC Animation City.

One similarity between the Star Trek: Picard TV series and THE STARFIGHTER video game is that there is a mission in THE STARFIGHTER in which you (Paladin) fly to Jupiter in the Solar System.

Some elements in THE STARFIGHTER game are the same as in:-
a. the American TV series Space: Above And Beyond-- such as wormholes, extra-terrestrials & exoplanets
b. Battlestar Galactica-- such as robot enemies & space superiority starfighters
c. Robotech: Macross animation-- such as aeroplane looking spacecraft, large enemy spaceships & militaristic alien antagonists

Furthermore, this video game was designed and developed based on the actual Saab JAS 39 Gripen E light single-engine multirole jet fighter, the Saab JAS 39 Gripen E-simulator in the Swedish Air Force Museum (Flygvapenmuseum) in Malmen Airbase in Malmslätt in Sweden.
