Wars Across The World: Corsica 1764

Corsica 1764 describes the last 5 years of Corsican war for Independance. The Corsican player must survive and hold on as many cities and regions of the island to prevent his opponent, the Genoese-French to prevail. The latter can only win by conquering and holding the whole land, or eliminating totall all Corsican forces.

Corsica 1764 is played in 24 turns, each representing a season (3 months) between 1764 and 1769. One player represents the Corsicans and their attempt to achieve sovereignty and liberty, the second represents first the Republic of Genoa, ruling the island for centuries, then the Kingdom of France when it acquires the former rights to the island.
The Corsicans have few units and should build up strength, anticipating Genoese withdrawal and French intervention. Their ability to cut supplies and maneuver may help them stand in the long run.

The Genoese have few forces and even less territory, and they can only win when France steps in. The latter has huge military assets but may run short of time and let Corsicans win if they managed to stand.

Event cards will renew the game through a series of diplomatic, military and political fluctuations.
