A recent graduate of The Academy, Scott Thunderstone (name customizable) is on a mission to track down and recover a magical artifact in the small town of Hope Springs.
On arrival, Scott meets his new partner, Detective McBrighton, while on a case investigating a burglary at the Winthrope Manor. Mary Winthrope meets Scott and discovers he has yet to secure lodging in town, inviting him to stay at the manor. Her maids, Sally and Alice, both make an entrance, and pose different kinds of distraction for Scott while he's on the case.
