Photons is a cooperative multiplayer horror game, in which you and your friends are destined to work underground, while trying to live in total darkness beneath the earth’s surface. The only way to navigate your areas is to use specialized tools, in order to control the area around you. The job is to maintain the excavation equipment, explore vast cave systems, loot for items and to not die. Succeeded tasks will be awarded in credits, with which you’ll be able to buy tools, upgrade them, and expand your base, just for the sake of a safer place to work.

Go on a trip into the dark recesses of caverns in this underground maze where light is now just a memory. To navigate through the areas, use a variety of tools, ranging from sound wave distributors, to handheld scanners that will reveal to you the nuances of the surrounding world. Remember, that you are not alone in this impenetrable darkness. Danger can lurk around every corner, and unknown creatures see you through the shadows.

Explore a network of procedurally generated caves hiding diverse biomes filled with abandoned structures and undiscovered anomalies. Watch out for increasingly dangerous threats located in the ever-distant depths of the tunnels. With randomly generated undergrounds, everyone will experience the terror of the void in a unique way.

Embark on exciting expeditions equipped with a range of practical tools and effective weaponry that you can obtain, ensuring you're well-prepared for the challenges of exploration and combat in uncharted territories. Equip surface scanners to map your environment, available in different forms like handheld devices or scanning grenades, helping you understand and navigate your surroundings. Set up stationary machinery for strategic exploration to unravel larger areas and aid in strategizing your exploration efforts, or go mobile with the assistance of autonomous robotic helpers. Customize your weapons with a user-friendly attachment system and keep track of your equipment using a personal tablet, making inventory management straightforward and effective.
