Arkem is a single-player medieval game that mixes city-building with hands-on RPG exploration and combat. You play as a lord in a dangerous medieval world, starting with almost nothing and slowly carving out a place to call your own.
You’ll build a castle from the ground up, grow a supporting village around it, and defend everything you’ve created from threats both near and far. What begins as a small stronghold can, over time, become a powerful fortress, your home, your seat of power, and your final line of defense.


Build Your Castle, Your Way
Castle construction in Arkem is fully modular. Walls, towers, keeps, courtyards, everything is placed piece by piece, giving you full control over how your fortress looks and functions.
As your domain grows, you’ll unlock new buildings and make use of surrounding resources to support your population. Every structure matters. Some improve production, others strengthen defenses, and some exist simply to bring comfort or prestige to your settlement. How you balance these choices is entirely up to you.

Strategy and Role-Playing, Seamlessly Combined
Arkem allows you to switch freely between two perspectives. Plan and manage your settlement from above, then step directly into the world in third person to explore, fight, and interact.
Travel on foot or horseback, visit villages and towns, meet NPCs, and take on quests as you journey through the land. The world beyond your walls is filled with people, wildlife, and places to discover, offering opportunities and dangers as you expand your influence.

Defend What You’ve Built
Growth attracts attention. As your settlement thrives, raids and attacks become inevitable. Equip your followers, organize defenses, and decide how battles are fought.
You can personally lead your troops into combat or leave the defense of your lands in the hands of trusted servants while you venture elsewhere. Just be careful, leaving your domain unattended for too long may come at a cost.

A Medieval World to Explore
Arkem takes place in an alternative medieval history inspired by real events between 950 and 1300 AD, including Viking incursions and the early Crusades.
The game features multiple maps with very different environments, from the Italian Alps to isolated northern islands. Each location offers its own challenges, resources, and opportunities. Where you choose to settle and how you rule is entirely your decision.
