Make your choices carefully, but don't expect to have all the information you need. The Killing Rooms are designed to keep you guessing. Rooms, encounters, and the path ahead can change from one run to the next. Sometimes you'll get lucky. Sometimes you won't.
The only thing you can be certain of is that something is waiting for you further inside.
