My Valiant Purpose

Created by long-time "American Dad!" animator Shane Curry, "My Valiant Purpose" is a story-driven experience about a rabbit named Gum following his dream. Fully narrated and with voice acting, the gameplay is inspired by 8-bit Mascot Platformers.

GUM IS A RABBIT WITH A DREAM

My Valiant Purpose is the journey of a small rabbit named Gum who's trying to follow his dream. A random dream he just woke up from. Along the way he is reproached and warned by seemingly well-intentioned family and strangers. As you progress you learn more about Gum and his world through Voice Over Narration, as well as through Voice-Acted Cutscenes. Designed to be completed in a single sitting, meant to be experienced like a Playable Story.

YOU CONTROL GUM

The gameplay is inspired by old school Mascot Platformers from the 8-bit era with enhanced audio/dialog. Controls are simple, 4-way directional controls and a single jump button. You collect hearts as you climb to the top of the Tree from Gum's Dream. There's no time limit, this is a story meant to be experienced in full, beatable by people of all ages.
