Solitary Ash

Solitary Ash is a hybrid narrative adventure game set in an alternate post-apocalyptic Europe following a catastrophic planet wide event, focusing on moral choices and exploration.

A man with amnesia wakes up in an underground prison and sets out on a journey of self-discovery through a freezing and deserted Europe to find his family and get revenge on his captors. Along the way, he helps the remaining human communities and makes moral choices that shape his journey. This is an immersive cinematic experience with stylized graphics, a minimalistic score, and a quest to spark hope in a lonely traveler.

Journey across the Ash, the desolate floor of a vanished Danube river, as you recover your lost memories. Traverse the abandoned world, forging connections with isolated tribes, and explore the last underground Shelter citadels. Gather old tape recordings and messages from an old walkie-talkie, and seek out ancient monuments and artifacts hidden in desolation.

As you wander the Ash, you shall face the tyranny of feudal Guilds who exploit the remnants of humankind and you will defy a zealous cult that sacrifices its followers to the ruthless Sun God. Navigate the desperate conflict over dwindling water, and uncover a narrative that branches with every moral choice you make.

Search the barren Ash for lost fragments from the old world and craft or repair what you find. Ration your water and supplies, barter for ancient artifacts, and interact with characters both strange and unforgettable.
