Grove Grown Guardians

Grove Grown Guardians is a strategy game about growing plants and defending the grove from the threat of corruption. Periodically, creatures tainted by the corruption will attack the grove and the guardians will need to face them in auto-battling combat. In order for the grove to survive, resources and plants must be managed to provide guardians with the advantage they will need to win.

In game, there are "?" icons that when clicked will provide more info about nearby features.

Plant-Management
Throughout the game, the positioning of plants is important since most plants can earn bounty levels. These bounty levels are earned differently by different plants, but can provide strong boosts to the effects of most plants. Most plants earn their bounty points based on adjacency to other specific plant types.

There are 3 different ways to use plants. Plants may be consumed by guardians, sold, or composted. While giving boosts to guardians is vital to beating encounters, selling or composting plants is also very important.

Seed Shop
Gold is used to purchase seed packets in the seed shop. These packets provide randomized seeds based on the packet type purchased. It’s important to keep track of how much gold you have so that you’re able to continue to get new plants to grow.

Grove Powers
Grove powers are special abilities each with unique effects. These abilities cost grove energy to use, and this energy is gained through composting plants. Since composting plants only provides energy based on growth stats of plants, it may be best to consider composting plants with less usefulness.

Skill-Plants and Guardian Ranks
While most plants can provide stat boosts to guardians, there are also important experience and evolution plants. As the name suggests, experience plants grant guardians with experience when consumed. When enough experience is earned, a guardian can level up, providing bonuses to max health, power, and health regen. Additionally, for every 3rd rank, a guardian will not be able to rank up until they are granted an evolution plant. Evolution plants provide the guardian with unique skills that may provide advantages in combat.

Revitalizing the Tree of Life
For each time an enemy encounter is defeated, special life resources are gained. These life resources can be spent at the Tree of Life to gain bonuses when starting a new game. Additionally, for each upgrade purchased, progress is earned towards unlocking new grove powers. Once all the powers have been unlocked, the final milestone to unlock will allow you to challenge the source of the corruption in future games.
