Strange And Mysterious Domain is a suspenseful mystery RPG based on Call of Cthulhu (CoC) tabletop role-playing rules, set in a 1940s American town. Players take on the role of a private detective hired to investigate a bizarre disappearance. As the investigation deepens, cracks begin to emerge in the seemingly tranquil town—haunted apartments, deranged residents, forbidden ancient texts, and "unspeakable" phenomena.
Game Features
Dice System
Every action in the game is tied to dice rolls. The outcome of your choices depends on comparing your roll results with character attributes, leading to branching narratives. There are no "right" or "wrong" decisions—Lady Luck is your greatest ally. If one critical success can’t solve a problem, just roll another!

Unrestricted Freedom
The game imposes no mandatory main storyline—every event can be a side quest or the central focus. You can participate in the story, observe it as a bystander, or blend into the NPC crowd. Explore freely, gather clues, and piece together the full narrative to shape your own path.

Combat System
Unlike traditional CoC games, we’ve introduced real-time combat to complement the story-driven experience, letting players enjoy thrilling boss battles. Due to current development constraints, our originally planned roguelike-inspired combat system has been temporarily shelved, though the core combat mechanics remain. Future updates may reintroduce this feature based on crowdfunding support.
