The game

Move & Attack

A wide variety of units
There are different units with different strengths and weaknesses. For example, a catapult is extremely strong against units inside fortifications.
However, a catapult is not particularly mobile. During a turn, it can only move OR attack, which requires appropriate advance planning.

Priests, on the other hand, are weakly armoured and completely helpless in battle, but can heal other units and, more importantly, teleport foot troops over long distances!

Experience
Your units gain experience through battles, represented by a growing star. The more experienced a unit is, the more powerful it becomes in battle.

And heroes, of course!
Your hero enters the playing field via the main fortress. Heroes can either fight and conquer villages, search for treasures, hunt monsters or occupy magical rune fields.
When conquered, these runes trigger permanent boosts for your army. These last until another hero can conquer them.
Heroes also provide many tactical options. For example, special hero units can be acquired in the main fortress or powerful special actions can be triggered.

Details
Defeat your opponent on a playing field organised into hexes.
The playing field contains various terrains such as forests, mountains and lakes.
Furthermore, there are towns, castles, harbours, strongholds, fortresses and more. These towns must be conquered and held by foot troops.
This allows you to increase your gold income and recruit many different units.
The heroes play a special role. They enter the playing field via your main fortress and can take part in the battle. They can also collect treasure chests, conquer powerful rune fields or fight creatures.
If you have collected enough souls through battles, heroes can perform a particularly powerful special action to turn the battle in your favour.
Only with tactical skill and foresight can you defeat the computer opponent or other players.
