Oh, and there are robotic cephalopods swarming out of portals from another world, seeking to wipe out your entire universe! Swim against the current of enemies, collect keys and shut every portal behind you!

SHOOT INK!
In Octoportals, ink is your main weapon! It regens slowly, but you can replenish it with ink droplets that fall from those you've slain. Fight aggressively or save your ink for later? Play smart or risk falling to the onslaught!
SHAPESHIFT!
Change between 8 different forms to survive until the end, including a cannon with legs, a decoy-planting ninja, a flame-headed brawler that sets enemies burning and a berserker with a giant sword!
Every form fights. Every form rolls. Pick the right one for the room in front of you, and switch the moment it stops being the right one.

CLOSE THE PORTALS!
Every new level spawns more portals, and every portal is a gateway to an endless horde. Kill enough enemies to get a key and lock them all one by one, until the last portal leads you to the next level. Defeat enemies as fast as possible, dodge the curse casters before they scramble your controls or poison you, and watch out for sneaky Key Thieves!

FIGHT THE BOSSES!
It's all fun and games until the boss arrives. Whether you're fighting against an octo-falcon that rains bullets in all directions or running from a giant serpent that gets stronger every time you make a mistake, get ready for a hard time!
... and amazing rewards, if you survive.

BUILD YOUR RUN!
After beating a level, choose between a new form for your pool or a base upgrade. Do you like the versatility to face everything or would you rather rely on the skills you already have? Whatever you pick, it stays with you until you die.
And choose carefully: that screen is the only place you'll ever heal. No hearts drop out here.
