A retro point-and-click horror adventure game that tests the
boundries of the genre!

The bad feelings started to seep in as soon as you passed the front desk.
The hallways are unnaturally dark and you swear they grow more narrow with each step you take. The hotel creaks as if its corridors contorted ever so slowly, trying to crush you in its innards before you get the chance to notice.

In this "found-footage" horror game you have to navigate the rooms and hallways of the mysterious Narrow Woods Hotel.
Collect keys and items and use them to find your way out. But be careful, as the dreaded feeling of being alone might actually be a comforting thought.

How to play:
General:
-Use the mouse to interact with the environment and navigate through the hotel
-'Left click' to interact/move (used for various things)
-'TAB' to open inventory
-Hold left mouse button to skip cutscenes

In inventory:
-Hover over items for description
-'Left click' item to take out of inventory

With item held:
-'Left click' to use on objects
-'Right click' to put held item back into inventor

The game takes about 40-60 minutes to beat on the first playthrough.

Known issues / troubleshooting:
If windows defender blocks the game from running, click "more info" and select "run anyway". This happens because the game is from an "unknown publisher".

If you're using Wave Link, and the game crashes after the splash screen (probably caused by the rerouting of the audio) go to your Windows sound settings, set your default output to "Wave Link System" and then assign the game's output to "Wave Link System" aswell. If you can't change the audio back to "system audio", rename the narrowwoodshotel.exe to anything you like, then start the game again.
For problems with other audio rerouting programs, a similar solution might apply.
