Red Recon: 1944

Red Recon is an isometric real-time tactical game with stealth elements, placing you in command of a squad of Soviet scouts deployed into East Prussia in the autumn of 1944. Your mission: gather intelligence and carry out precision strikes against enemy forces on the eve of the Red Army’s strategic offensive.

Such a mission can only be entrusted to hardened fighters. Under your command will be a partisan from the Pskov forests, a Baltic Fleet marine, an experienced underground operative from a Smolensk, a taiga hunter-sniper, and many other soldiers. Each of them possesses unique wartime-honed skills and their own motivation for being part of the squad.

Story
Step into the role of Captain Mironov, commander of a special operations group undergoing combat training at a camp near Smolensk. Parachute into East Prussia, reach the rendezvous point, establish contact with “Center,” and commence your first mission: reconnoiter the fortified area “Ilmenhorst.”
Make contact with other Soviet reconnaissance teams operating in East Prussia. Support the Red Army’s advance with pinpoint strikes and sabotage deep in enemy territory. Evade the special squad formed to hunt down saboteurs, and secure the secret intelligence that must be delivered back to the “Mainland” at any cost.
