Din of Sen

Din of Sen is a nonlinear, 2D sidescrolling, combat-centric, hack-and-slash action RPG that draws inspiration from the souls-like and metroidvania genres. Travel through the world as you see fit, creatively using whatever tools you have at your disposal to make progress.

Special Abilities - Each weapon form has its own list of special abilities that offer various types of utility or dish out massive damage.

Nonlinear Exploration - Have multiple ways to progress through the challenges the game presents you. Use your special weapon abilities to create a way through where there previously was none, or explore and find a second or third way to advance.

Equip Yourself - As you explore the world or loot enemies, discover items that you can equip to increase your stats and improve your abilities.

Upgrades Galore - Earn the currency known as "Echoes" by defeating enemies and use it to unlock and upgrade abilities or enhance items.

Take Vengeance - You do not lose Echoes upon death. Instead, the enemy that defeated you is now marked and you gain bonus Echoes for slaying it.

Fast Travel - No long backtracking here; once you arrive at a new locale, you can fast travel there from any checkpoint.

Gorgeous Pixel Art - Enjoy hand-drawn, frame-by-frame animations as they dance across a uniquely palleted pixel landscape.

You play as a fighter named Sen, who finds himself waking up in an alien world. Not knowing where he is or how he got here, he travels through this strange land and fights many dangerous enemies, helping him regain his memories and discover the truth about this beautiful and terrifying place.

Sen wields the power of a shapeshifting crystalline weapon, enabling him to swap weapon forms on the fly. Use the weapon swapping attacks to pull off powerful combos and deal more damage. How he fights is up to you, will you use a spear, a sword, a great hammer, or one of the many other forms that you will discover?

Each weapon form has a host of unique abilities and special attacks. Some are more focused on utility, while others do devastating damage. What weapon forms and skills you equip will greatly change how you approach combat.

As you explore the world, you will uncover many mysteries that not only reveal the nature of this land, but also empower Sen. As he regains his memories, he grows stronger and becomes a better fighter with more weaponry and abilities.
