The story takes place in a small town in North Carolina, a place steeped in urban legends and strange tales. The townsfolk are extremely proud of their history and lean into the supernatural reputation to draw in tourists. Even the high school’s basketball team is called "The VereWolves" as a playful nod to the town’s alleged werewolf sightings.
You’ve moved to Verbena after the death of your brother, a decision your parents made to reconnect with old family ties and history. For you, the move stirs up memories, whether they’re comforting or painful is still up for debate. Adjusting to a new home is hard, and fitting in at school is even harder. Thankfully (or maybe not), you find yourself caught in a strange situation that brings you closer to five other students. Together, you form an unlikely group when the police dismiss what you all witnessed as pure nonsense......with evidence to back it up.
While the town thrives on supernatural stories, not all of them are true... right? The rest of the group is unsure what to believe, but you know deep down something strange is at play. Especially when the mysterious being, Pandora, who seems to have taken up residence in your mind, confirms your suspicions.
The question is, can you trust him? Or is he one of the many residents that just want to use you for their own gain?
