Samurai Ghost Revenge

There are many stories about the cursed grove. Some say that an honorable samurai fought an epic duel against a bandit, others claim that the samurai died in a quarrel between lovers. One thing is certain: the samurai is dead, and his restless spirit will have no mercy on those who enter his grove.
Players will step into the getas of Kibou, a traveling ghost hunter tasked by the nearby village to investigate a series of monster sightings in the bamboo forest.
                                           

Inspired by Ryūnosuke Akutagawa's In A Grove, Samurai Ghost Revenge tells conflicting stories that are shaped by the testimonies players choose to believe. These selections will, in turn, shape the game world as well.

Samurai Ghost Revenge is a rogue-lite, top-down action game which invites you to explore the cursed grove and battle its inhabitants in search of the samurai ghost's hiding place. Slash with your sword, throw your shuriken and uncover other hidden weapons. To succeed, you will need to carefully juggle different kinds of enemies, keeping them at a distance. Use your roundhouse slash to make some space if enemies swarm you.
When you first enter the grove, you are no match for the ghost. In order to prepare yourself for the final battle, you will have to search every nook and cranny in order to gather as many upgrades as you can find.

Due to the ghost's otherworldly powers, the forest is ever-shifting. Every time you enter, the layout will be different. But the deeper you go, the more ferocious enemies will become.
