RealFlight Evolution – E-flite SNJ-5 (AT-6 Texan) 1.5m

Before student pilots during World War II became hot-shot Allied fighter jocks, they first needed to gain experience using an advanced trainer. The tough AT-6 Texan gave them the ability to handle all the bad habits of a fighter and become well-disciplined with a high level of respect for their aircraft. U.S. Navy pilots flew the airplane extensively under the SNJ designation, and today, hundreds of AT-6s continue to fly, serving well beyond their trainer role. The E-flite SNJ-5/AT-6 Texan 1.5m is a rare tribute to the unsung warbird, equipped with an upgraded 3S and 4S compatible power system.

The airframe is factory-finished in an iconic scheme based on the SNJ-5 “101,” which is still being flown by High Sky Wing – a unit of the Commemorative Air Force based in Midland, Texas. It features a variety of scale details, including molded-in panel lines, a simulated radial engine, a detailed cockpit with a pilot figure, and more. Plus, its functional flaps and retractable landing gear add to the scale flying experience.
