Ultakia

Ultakia is a turn-based space 4X strategy game with distinctive resource management in which the player takes on the role of one of 12 asymmetrical species competing to conquer the galaxy.

Therefore, you create a thriving civilization by mining raw materials to construct ever larger buildings on your way to rule. Mining and processing the right resources at the right time is a particularly important strategic aspect of the game.

A variety of building upgrades and the development of ever new sources of resources will help you to slowly transform yourself from a nation of constant scarcity to one of prosperity.

So do you prefer to process the resources you gain into ever higher quality products to generate great prosperity, or do you first invest them in further expansion and even greater dominance? No matter what you decide in the end, a sprawling technology tree is always at your side... Or do you explore the anomalies on your planets first to get special and unique bonuses?

But with new goods come new challenges, such as horrendous energy consumption, pollution and, of course, the citizens. Because in Ultakia you don't just manage a sterile empire, but try to lead and provide for a constantly growing population. Grow citizens to unleash the full potential of your buildings.

But with every citizen comes challenges, so make sure they are happy and deal with their political views by promoting or suppressing parties to benefit from their bonuses and keep your citizens happy. Because only with happy individuals will your empire ultimately develop its full economic potential and manage to mature into a true empire.

But to do this, you must also expand your empire beyond the borders of the starting systems by competing with other players for newly discovered systems and securing your supremacy with your warships.
Because ultimately we have to decide whether those out there are friends or foes. Whether we want to achieve victory with or despite them!
