Breaking the Grip is an asymmetrical multiplayer game blending horror and strategy. Survivors and the Spirit engage in a psychological battle: one seeks to escape its grasp, while the other drags them into madness. Only teamwork, cunning, and nerves of steel will lead to victory.
Will you be the one to survive… or the shadow that hunts them to their last breath?
Game Rules
🔹 Roles:
Survivors: Their goal is to perform a ritual to weaken the Spirit and break free. They must collect key items, use their abilities wisely, and avoid succumbing to madness.

The Spirit: Its mission is to terrify and weaken Survivors until they are vulnerable enough to be eliminated. It uses supernatural abilities to manipulate and obstruct them.

🔹 Gameplay Phases:
1️⃣ Candle Collection
Survivors must explore the map and gather 5 candles scattered throughout the area.
2️⃣ Banishment Ritual
Once all candles are collected, Survivors must complete a ritual to weaken the Spirit.
3️⃣ Weapon of Deliverance
After the ritual, Survivors must retrieve the Celestial Dagger, the only weapon capable of killing the Spirit.
4️⃣ Final Confrontation
Survivors must strike the Spirit with the Celestial Dagger before it eliminates them all.
🔹 Abilities & Mechanics:
🟢 Survivors – Special Powers
Each Survivor has a unique ability:
Diversion Decoy: Forcefully teleports the Spirit to a fake point of interest.

Desperate Dash: A temporary sprint to escape danger.

Momentary Immunity: Grants brief resistance to the Spirit’s grasp.

Illuminator: Uses a special light to repel the Spirit.

Spirit Tracker: Briefly reveals the Spirit’s location.

Rapid Meditation: Recovers from fear effects faster.

🔴 Spirit – Powers of Terror
The Spirit can spread fear and manipulate the environment:
Epidemic Terror: Increases madness in nearby Survivors.

Portal Master: Instantly teleports across the map.

Mirror Master: Creates illusions to trap Survivors.

Spectral Phase: Moves through walls and obstacles.

Spectral Mark: Curses a Survivor, making them more vulnerable.

The Puppeteer: Takes brief control of a Survivor’s actions.

🔹 Win Conditions:
✅ Survivor Victory: Complete the ritual and eliminate the Spirit using the Celestial Dagger.
❌ Spirit Victory: Drive all Survivors into madness and eliminate them one by one.
