SINGLE PLAYER ROUGE-LITE STORY!
Long ago, humanity walked beneath an open sky. Then something happened. No one remembers what. The truth was buried with us, well mostly. Now we live in the Abyss a vast underground kingdom of endless caverns, rusted machinery, broken ruins and darkness so deep it feels alive.
Generations have been born here. Generations have died here. All looking up at the massive castle reaching to the top of the abyss. The surface is little more than a myth whispered by old fools and desperate dreamers. Only five people are said to know what truly drove humanity underground.
The Abyssal King and his Four Knights. They rule from the depths, untouchable and feared. Their power comes from the Artifacts, ancient spinning relics whose origins are unknown. In their hands, the Artifacts become weapons of unimaginable destruction.
They carve through steel, stone, and flesh with equal ease. A single gesture from a Knight can tear apart an entire crew of expansion workers and leave nothing behind but blood and dust. The rest of us are nothing. We dig. We build. We obey.
It's not fair. Why should they be the only ones with power? Why should they be the only ones who know the truth? Sometimes, when I'm alone in the tunnels, I imagine finding an Artifact of my own. Just one. Then everything would change.
I wouldn't bow to the Abyssal King.
I would become him.
