Curse of Yggdrasil

Rebuild the world tree Yggdrasil as the last surviving viking in this tower-defence and simulator game. Fight of creatures inspired by norse folklore and reincarnate when death faces you, becoming stronger than before. 

Lore
In this game you play as the last surviving viking still worshiping the norse gods. However, as you're the only one left, Odin has cursed you to live forever and continuosly rebuild the world tree Yggdrasil after it got destroyed during Rangarok. This means that death isn't the end for you. Instead you get connected to the tree's roots, where you can permanantly upgarde the viking and reincarnate to start over again, stronger than before.

Core gameplay
Being cursed to rebuild Yggdrasil, you're not able to move away from the tree. So instead of attacking your foes head on you will have to wait for them to come to you, then you can swing your powerful axe and strike them down. Also at your disposal are abilities linked to different norse gods, use these to strike from afar, or power yourself up. These abilities are however not available from start, instead you will have to rebuild Yggdrasil and create space for statues in honor of the gods on the tree.

The enemies you face are inspired by nordic folklore. So be prepared to face of against monsters like draugrs and trolls. Striking down too many enemies will result in a much more powerful foe appearing, so managing damage taken and given is crucial for survival.
