Our world is being slowly consumed by an ancient evil old gods and only you have the knowledge of the dark forces. Some say the knowledge makes you a madman, yet you can see the cards are everywhere - each chaotic aglomeration a sign of chaos infiltrating our reality. The destiny of the world hinges solely upon your shoulders. Walk the streets of randomly generated city, tread the paths of randomly generated labyrinths, solve randomly generated card layouts to bring order to our world. Maybe you will succeed where the mute violist from H. P. Lovecraft's "The Music of Erich Zann" failed...
Solitaire of Stygian Shadows is a solitaire card game where each playthrough is unique. Card layouts are randomly generated, as well as the environment through which you move. The goal of the game is to discover, one by one, numbers of the cypher to open the gates to the den of the ancient evil.
Experienced solitaire players will find themselves comfortable with the rules of the game. The cards have numerical values from 0 to 9, instead of traditional playing card ranks with aces, kings and queens. Gameplay difficulty can be described as relaxed, despite the theme of the game.
