Aetherfall

Aetherfall is a third-person elemental extraction RPG in development, combining elemental martial arts, reactive environments and dangerous expeditions into a world transformed by aether.
After the meteor strike known as the Aetherfall, elemental energy flooded the planet and disrupted the technology humanity depended on. Modern cities became unstable elemental ruins. Survivors now venture into them wielding the same powers that changed their world.
Four Core Elements. Nine Total.

Fire, Earth, Air and Water are your foundation. Combine them into nine distinct elements and explore how their interactions change your approach to an encounter.
Channel aether through martial techniques to unleash elemental projectiles, melee strikes and area attacks. Experiment with combinations, adapt your positioning and find opportunities to turn elemental power to your advantage.

Make the World React
Your powers reach beyond combat.
Channel Water into a crystal to set a reaction in motion. Send energy through a crystal network, or awaken a crystal that grows a vine bridge across a gap. Understanding an interaction can reveal another way forward.
Look closely at your surroundings. The elements can be tools for exploration as well as weapons.

Face Elemental Threats
You are not the only one wielding elemental power.
Creatures transformed by aether bring their own abilities into an encounter. A fire-wreathed beast can send a ring of flame across an arena, turning the space around it into part of the threat.
Read the attack, choose your position and look for your opening.

Push Deeper. Find Your Way Out.
The full game is being built around high-risk expeditions into ruined cities, where creatures, rival players and elemental hazards stand between you and a successful extraction.
Every expedition asks how much you are willing to risk. Keep exploring for greater rewards, or leave with what you have already secured.
