Explore Terminus and send a squad of robots into outposts consumed by THE NADIR. Restore abandoned mining outposts and infrastructure, extract valuable Veyrite, and retreat before THE NADIR overwhelm your squad. Return another day with better preparation, a different squad, or a different plan.

ASSEMBLE
Recover chassis, specialization modules, abilities, chips, and other resources during expeditions. Use what you find to customize Strikers and Vanguards, then assemble a versatile squad capable of handling a wide range of expeditions.

Every robot brings different combat tools, task capabilities, carrying capacity, energy cost, and signature. Build a diverse squad to handle a variety of scenarios.

Expand your robot roster by finding new robots on expeditions and repair damaged units between expeditions.

PREPARE
Explore a Nadir-infested world to restore lost outposts, salvage resources, analyze biological growth, and rescue survivors.

Fight the Nadir in turn-based combat. Use positioning, robot abilities, explosives, and activate defensive systems to control the battlefield.

Plan ahead: Prepare your defenses, manipulate your surroundings, reactivate the mining facilities, and secure your escape routes.

MINE
Activate the mining drill and extract Veyrite to meet the quotas set by Helvern, while THE NADIR's aggression continues to rise.

Every additional mining cycle yields more Veyrite but also makes your escape more dangerous.

Decide when to shut down the drill. Stay too long, and getting back may become harder than holding the mining facility.

ESCAPE
Fight your way back through an outpost you prepared earlier.

Fall back behind barriers, activate defenses, detonate prepared charges, and use restored infrastructure to buy time.

Push your robots beyond their limits to get them home, risking lasting damage to critical systems.

ENDURE
Assign survivors to generate power, repair robots, build station upgrades, produce repair kits, grow food, or recover from exhaustion.

Manage fatigue and injuries among your survivors. Set food rationing and heating policies, and keep mounting crew pressure under control.

Find new survivors with traits that affect the base and your expeditions. Sometimes saving one person means leaving another behind.
