First released in 2005 by game designer Sergey Machin, Potion Making: Practice quickly became a standout tabletop title. The board game received multiple awards, was featured in game design textbooks, and sold over 300,000 copies, earning its place as a true classic. In 2024, an updated version was released, expanding the lore and gameplay of the original.
Now, you can compete for the title of master alchemist on PC. No more manual calculations, no setup required — and distance is no longer a barrier. Play with friends from anywhere in the world.

LORE
At the dawn of time, the Great Alchemist used the power of the Philosopher’s Stone to create the Primordial Tree. It transformed the void into a magical world filled with life. Travelers from distant realms came to study at the School of Magic and the Library of Five Worlds.
But that was a long time ago.
Everything changed when the brilliant master Alexander Fulcanelli cast a forbidden spell upon the essence of emptiness. The balance was broken, and the magical world began to fade. 
With its last strength, the Primordial Tree preserved what remained and now calls upon skilled alchemists to fix the mistake. Answer the call, journey through three Places of Power, and overcome the destructive spell.
PATH OF THE ALCHEMIST
Cast spells and brew potions to reach the Places of Power before your opponents and claim victory. Every completed recipe is a chance to pull ahead.
Spell
Use spells and harness the power of magical talismans.
Gain extra actions, acquire ingredients, or even create ready-made potions.

Craft
Choose a potion to craft, combine elements from your ingredient pool, or take what you need from your opponents.
The more complex the recipe, the greater the reward.

Movement
Every potion you brew brings you closer to victory.
Earn movement tokens and advance across the board. Plan your route carefully and don’t forget about talisman spaces — they can give you a valuable advantage.

Draw new cards and prepare for your next turn.
Recipes from different decks vary in complexity — and in reward.
