Erebos Loop is a challenging retro sci-fi roguelite shooter with fast-paced, top-down combat and progression across 50,000 procedurally generated levels. In Erebos, progress and survival depend solely on your skill and your ability to observe, adapt, and uncover the hidden rules of the Loop.
Once a thriving network connecting star systems and galaxies, Erebos was devastated by the Hostiles, whose quantum interference shattered its fabric. Now, both humans and Hostiles are trapped within the Loop. As an Operative of the Erebos Restoration Corps, it is your mission to uncover the mysteries of the Loop.
Coordinate System & Override Terminals
The heart of Erebos Loop is the Coordinate System and Override Terminals, a feature that introduces an innovative twist on the roguelite genre. Every level, with its treasures, enemies, and unique challenges, as well as every shop and upgrade room, has coordinates you can record and revisit. Use Override Terminals to plan your route, replay favorite challenges, and craft your perfect Loop. This system turns every run into a tactical puzzle and rewards strategy and careful planning.

Clearance Levels & Upgrade Cores
During each Loop, Operatives earn Clearance Levels by neutralizing Hostiles. Clearance unlocks Upgrade Cores, powerful modifiers that alter how weapons and shields behave, opening up new tactical options within a run. Clearance resets at the end of the Loop, encouraging experimentation and adaptation: mastering Clearance Levels lets you shape your ideal playstyle and respond effectively to any situation.

Expeditions
Expeditions are focused operations with clear objectives and escalating danger. Take on five story-driven missions that uncover untold secrets about Erebos, and prove your mastery in five elite assignments designed to push your skills to the limit. Expeditions complement the Loop by offering structured goals while still testing your strategy and adaptability.

Light permanent progression
Erebos Loop features a light, skill-focused progression. Unlock five powerful Boosts and Boost Slots by completing Loops and Expeditions, and equip them before your run to refine your strategy. Complete all Expeditions to unlock Iron Will Mode, the ultimate test of mastery.
