Cities are living things - sometimes in desperate need of some life-saving care. Design blocks with plants, murals, lights, pocket parks, bike lanes, and other small civic miracles. Cultivate local businesses so they can provide groceries, shopping, activities, and that tragic necessity of capitalism: jobs. 

Support Your Neighbors
Tend to neighbors so they can be happy where they live, live somewhere they can afford, and afford to stay long enough to put down roots. Make choices and watch as different blocks take on their own identities, from the fun-loving block party host, to the mellow artist collective, to the much-feared business district.
