The Laurencia is a solo-made adventure game, set in the world of desserts, Desserterium.

The Ascension that heroes should have succeed failed for some reason, therefore strange things begin to happen in Desserterium.

In this time of mayhem, you as Lokum Laurence, the Hero of excess and the clown, must carry the quest of ascension  through the Desserterium's seven cities; Excess, Delusion, Lies, Obsession, Paradox, Change, and Emptiness

By taking a trial, by having a peaceful conversation, if that doesn't work, using force to gather all their essences and climb the Mountain of ascension to rekindle the temple's long forgotton light.

You will explore various cities, fulfill citizens' requests, and overcome trials that reflect the unique character of each city to climb the Mountain of ascension, rekindling the temple's long forgotton light.

Heavily inspired by nonsense literatures like Alice in Wonderland and Gulliver's Travels, and epic poetries like The Odyssey, this adventure RPG game, developed, written, composed and designed by a single developer, features a surprisingly clear storyline, suprisingly active real-time boss fight, and suprisingly not a horror game.

About the Translation

You can access it by going to the The Laurencia properties in your Steam library, navigating to the "Betas" tab, and selecting the "beta" branch. However, please note that localization review has only been completed up to ACT 2 so far. Even for these reviewed acts, the polish was only meant to ensure the story is readable, so there are likely still many issues scattered throughout. While the subsequent chapters will still display in English, the quality may make the story difficult to follow, so I do not recommend playing past ACT 2 just yet.
