Frozen Heart is a 2D visual novel set in the vibrant universe of Faulty Apprentice. In this standalone sequel, you join Commander Angeline in her quest to solve the mystery behind her father's sword before she's turned to ice.

Story Summary:
When you set out on an adventure, you never know where you'll end up. Commander Angeline asked you to join her on the simple quest of acquiring a ship, but she didn't tell you she was hiding a secret. Ever since her legendary sword, Sigard, (which grants her the power of ice and cold), was repaired, she's been struggling to attune with it. Is the sword resisting her? Has she changed since the Battle of Stars Reach, or has the sword changed? Either way, if she can't regain control of the sword, the sword will take control of her.

A riddle left by the sword's former owner may be the clue to saving Angeline, but not only is the path dangerous, your enemies are following your every move. All roads lead to confrontation: the sword and Angeline, the enemy and your friends, and the consequences of your choices.  

For good or evil, the fate of everyone is in your hands.

Gameplay:
Frozen Heart is an adventure game that follows the classic Visual Novel format, where your choices affect the story's outcome and your relationships with other characters. Choosing to be empathetic or encouraging during interactions may increase a character's affection towards you and help them overcome their problems, leading to a good ending. Choosing to be cruel or discouraging may have the opposite effect. Raising your relationship and positively engaging with evil characters will lead to an evil ending. Telling the difference between which characters have good or evil intentions is up to you.
Sometimes, you will be presented with opportunities to choose between characters. It could be simple as having a private chat, or going for a walk; intimate situations like bathing in a hot spring or spending the night together, or extreme instances like who to save from drowning.
Whom you choose to interact with and how you interact with them will affect the outcome of the story. Certain character interactions and scenes will require high relationship levels to unlock, so make every decision count! But don't worry, you will get an indication of whether a character's relationship is going up or down during each instance.

There are also puzzles and riddles to solve (or not) and how you handle them will affect how the other characters react to you, either positively or negatively.

What is the world of Faulty Apprentice?
A world full of monsters, mysteries, and maidens. You take on the role of a farm boy hoping from job-to-job, never quite finding his place, until he crosses paths with a wizard and is thrust into becoming the champion for the upcoming battle. Well, that battle is over, and Vaultes is awake. The war has begun.

Good vs Evil: Your choices when forming relationships and interacting with others will affect the story's outcome for good or evil.

Outside the Castle: You are going on an adventure to places unknown! Well, you know it's a land of wolves and cold, but that's it!
