PLAY YOUR WAY
Mutagenic is an online hack-and-slash ARPG about creating a build, finding better gear, and seeing how far you can take it. There’s no lengthy campaign to get through before you can start experimenting.
Fight through The Realm, defeat its bosses, and open the way into The Inversion, encountering challenging and rewarding mechanics along the way. Play solo or team up with friends, trade for the pieces you need, and turn your next great drop into a reason to try something new.
Whether you enjoy perfecting one character or starting over with a completely different idea, there’s always another combination to explore.

BUILD CRAFTING
Choose from 6 classes and 31 specializations, then chart your own path through a shared passive tree with over 4,700 nodes. Your class determines where you start, while your specialization adds its own distinct passive options. Every class can reach across the main tree to build around different strengths.
Combine active skill gems with compatible support gems to change how your abilities work. Build around Physical, Lightning, Cold, Fire, or Darkness damage, and bring your skills, passives, and equipment together into something that feels your own.
Equip Mutagens to gain additional skill slots and expand your setup with more skills and supports.

BUILD DEFINING UNIQUES
Find rare, extremely powerful unique items to unlock new build possibilities.

DIFFICULTY
Push into higher-level rifts for tougher enemies and better loot. Shape your runs through the Rift Tree, investing in the rewards and encounters you want to pursue. Socket Rift Shards to add further modifiers and tune your setup around what your build can handle.
For a different test, enter the Endless Rift, a solo arena with increasingly difficult waves. Refine your build, beat your previous best, and compete on the leaderboards.

ITEMIZATION
Find equipment with powerful implicits, tiered prefixes and suffixes, and rare mutated affixes. Improve your gear’s quality, use crafting runes to reshape its modifiers, and finish it at the crafting bench with a chosen affix. Hunt for unique items that change how your build works, or craft a rare item that fits it perfectly.
When you’re ready to risk the result, use a Void Rune. It might add a Void-Touched implicit, strengthen or weaken an existing modifier, or leave the item’s power unchanged. Whatever happens, the item is permanently closed to further crafting.

MORE PLAY, LESS FRICTION
Our goal is to keep the parts of ARPGs we love: experimenting with builds, finding exciting loot, and taking on harder challenges. That means removing unnecessary friction so you can spend more time enjoying them.
The in-game market lets you search for specific upgrades, buy directly from listings, and sell your finds—even while you’re offline. Set up live searches to hear when matching items become available, and keep playing while you wait for the right piece.
Customizable, shareable loot filters help you focus on the drops that matter to you. Create rules for your build, highlight promising items, and hide what you no longer need. Make your own filter or import someone else’s with a share code, then adjust it as your character progresses.
