You emerge from a portal into the land of Degom, filthy, disoriented, and with no memory of how you arrived.
​Degom is a realm of rigid social hierarchy, where language itself holds magical power. Status is guarded carefully, and access to the upper circles is never granted casually.
​Your goal is to navigate Degom’s social world and earn a formal introduction to its most powerful mages.
​In Degom, introductions are the key to advancement. To rise through the social circles, you must build affinity through conversation, complete tasks and favors, demonstrate your proficiency in word magic, and respond to the shifting moods and loyalties of Degom’s citizens.
​Every alliance matters. Choosing whom to trust, serve, challenge, or betray can open doors to higher circles, or close them forever.
Semantic Similarity
Semantic similarity is how “close” two sentences are to each other based on meaning. The game currently includes one multilingual semantic similarity engine and is built for expansion. This state-of-the-art deep neural network-based model powers the translation learning activity. This means that in-game translations are evaluated based on meaning, which mirrors the way humans naturally acquire language skills.
Thread Collection
Thread Collection is a game mechanic implemented to develop phonological, morphological, and semantic discrimination skills. This activity Builds both receptive and productive vocabulary knowledge where the Learner must demonstrate mastery of targeted vocabulary words. It also includes audio-only activities.
