Strange Dreams

Strange Dreams is a cartoon-style horror game with touches of psychological and survival horror. In it, you must survive shifting dreamscapes whose atmospheres warp with every step you take. All the while, a mysterious entity will stalk your every move, doing everything in its power to keep you from reaching the exit and waking up.
STORY
8:38 P.M. You loaded your suitcase into the taxi and climbed in. Having inherited a house in a distant town, you were ready for a fresh start. You had no idea how your life would change, but you didn't care.
The journey was long, so you decided to catch some sleep until you got there.

11:58 P.M. The car overheated along the way, leaving you stranded in an unfamiliar town. The driver told you it would take a while for the engine to cool down, so you decided to explore while you waited.

You explored the town. The streets were completely deserted, the air was cold, and the atmosphere felt deeply eerie, yet a few lingering details hinted at what the town was like.
After a few minutes of wandering around, the taxi driver pulled up to let you know the car was ready, so you climbed back inside and hit the road.

As you traveled, the temperature dropped and a light drizzle began to fall.
Fully awake now, you closely watched the driver's demeanor. He seemed pleasant enough, but looks can be deceiving, and your conversations just might alter the course of the journey.

3:45 A.M. You finally pulled up to the address: a dilapidated cabin that seemed to be the only building around. The drizzle had turned into a full-on downpour, so you dashed to your new home and slipped inside. Taking in the dusty, cluttered interior, you realized you had plenty of chores to tackle before you could finally get some sleep.

You finished your chores late into the night, completely exhausted. Even though it was a bit dirty, the bed looked strangely inviting. You laid down and drifted off into a peaceful sleep, unaware that you had fallen into a dangerously deep slumber.

Suddenly, in the middle of the night, you woke up with a start, filled with a deep sense of restlessness. Something felt off, it was as if you were no longer on the same plane of reality. Everything around you was pitch-black and hazy, except for a blinding light beaming from the closet. Looking around, you realized the closet was the only way out of the room. Trembling with fear and uncertainty, you decided to step inside.

You emerged into a new room, clearly just the first of many you would have to cross. As you make your way forward, you will encounter various environments you must navigate... though the rooms themselves aren't the real threat. The true danger lies in the entity lurking within them. It will toy with you, warping and twisting these spaces to make them increasingly lethal to stop your escape.
It's up to you to find the exit and wake up before it's too late.
