The Last Library: The Pages of Karthalas

The Last Library: The Pages of Karthalas is an action adventure roguelite set in a high fantasy city where the ability to read and write has been forgotten. 
You play as Emrys, a young orphaned boy who wishes to learn magic from the keeper of the last library, Karthalas, an ancient Daitu dragon who protects, and teaches the knowledge found in the books.

To learn the magic, Emrys must hunt down and bring back magic books that have been stolen from the library and used by the faction leaders spread throughout the city. To learn a spell, Emrys must defeat a faction leader and bring back the book they drop to Karthalas in the library. In return, Karthalas will teach Emrys the magic held in the books. 

Use different magic abilities, and weapons, to hunt down the fact leaders and learn more magic spells. But make sure not to die in the city, for any person who defeats you will take whatever magic book you have and will use it for themselves, becoming the next faction leader. 

Delve further into the city for more spells, but remember... The deeper into the city you go, the more danger there will be. and if you die, you will lose everything you have collected up until that point. Will you be daring and try to hunt down multiple faction leaders in one run? or will you play it safe and take them one by one?

Different factions behave differently, react to you differently, and will try to take over each others territory if you allow them to.
Defeating faction leaders will unlock new abilities, and weapons, and will allow you to become stronger as you play. 
Defeat all to fight the final boss and claim your spot as the strongest magic warrior in the city.
