Darkvale

Darkvale is a dark fantasy realtime roguelike RPG with extraction mechanics.
You control a hamlet that serves as your base of operations. Here you heal and strengthen characters, recruit new adventurers, buy equipment, and manage your stash — a persistent storage where items are kept only if a character successfully returns from an expedition.

Each expedition is undertaken by a single character, not a party. Before setting out, you choose an adventurer, equip him with weapon, food, bandages, traps, nets, and other supplies, and select a location to explore. Most locations offer specific resources to farm, dangerous enemies to face, entrances to new locations and often a powerful boss.
Expeditions are high-risk. If a character dies, both the character and all collected loot are lost permanently. You may return from an expedition at any time, securing your loot.
Gameplay during expeditions is presented as an realtime roguelike but with old-school turn-based vibes, inspired by classic dungeon crawlers. Careful planning, positioning, and resource usage are critical for survival.
The ultimate goal is to reach and complete the final location — a place shrouded in darkness, representing the last and most dangerous challenge in the world of Darkvale.
