Portal Fall is a turn-based roguelike where players acquire skills mid-combat via an ever-growing skill tree. Players will take on endless waves of enemies and create constantly evolving builds that reward experimentation, adaptation, and mastery.
SKILL-BUILDER, NOT DECK BUILDER
Skill Builder (noun):
A roguelike where, instead of building a deck and hoping to draw the right card at the right time, players build toward a specific set of abilities—strategically managing mana, cooldowns, and skill synergies while hoping to survive long enough for their build to come online.


EVERY TURN MATTERS
Victory isn't just about having the strongest build—it's about making the right decisions. Read enemy intents, prioritize dangerous threats, manage your mana, and carefully time your abilities as cooldowns cycle. Every turn presents meaningful choices, rewarding thoughtful play and strategic planning.

The Jester delights in twisting fate. Throughout your run, encounter unique mini-games and risk-reward events that challenge your decisions and test your nerve. Earn powerful weapons, rings, and loot, but choose wisely, as every gamble comes with consequences.


FORGE YOUR BUILD
Your skills are only the beginning. Discover branch-specific weapons and equipment that strengthen your chosen path, then customize your build by equipping up to 10 rings simultaneously. Mix and match powerful stat bonuses, unique passive effects, and build-defining synergies to create a build that's entirely your own.
