🐒 A cozy monkey adventure.
Apanana is an incremental game about clicking your monkey, collecting strange little treasures and slowly making your way further out into the world.
Collect bananas by clicking your monkey, turn them into stamina, upgrade your skills, go fishing, and admire the increasingly questionable collection of trinkets your monkey has brought home.
When you're ready, send your monkey on an adventure and see what it brings back.
🍌 Collect, upgrade, repeat
Between adventures, collect bananas, fish and work on your skills.
Bananas can be turned into stamina, which is used to send your monkey on increasingly longer adventures. As you level up, you can upgrade your skills to improve different parts of the game and unlock new things to do.
Bananas can also accumulate while the game is running, so leaving Apanana open for a while never hurts.
🧭 Explore further from home
Choose a direction and send your monkey out into the world.
Completing adventures lets you progress further in each direction and gives your monkey a chance to return with new trinkets for your collection.
Adventures take time, but you don't have to simply wait. Play minigames to speed things up, or leave your monkey to it while you do something else.
🎣 Fill your collections
There's always something else to find.
Catch fish, discover trinkets, meet familiars, unlock skins, improve your skills and hunt for achievements as you gradually work your way through everything Apanana has to offer.
Some things make you stronger. Some are useful for your collection.
And some are just things your monkey apparently decided were worth bringing home.
🖥️ Play actively or keep it on the side
Apanana uses a compact vertical window that makes it easy to keep around while you're watching something, waiting in a queue or playing another game.
Check in when you want something to do, send your monkey off on another adventure, and let it carry on without you when your attention is elsewhere.
