SOULRITE: the RPG where you play as the villain! Thrust into the middle of a conflict between the gods of light and shadow, you take on the role of the night goddess' devoted dread necromancer, Emily Bitterbloom. Master fast-paced RPG combat as you utilize dark magic to reap the souls of your foes, in a dramatic tale full of twists, humor and at least two annoying puzzles.

Ancient magic is abundant, yet dormant. The gods of old have vanished, and now seemingly only two remain. As the malevolent harbinger of the nightmare-fuelled Mother of Night, you reap the souls of the unworthy and conquer kingdoms in her profaned name. However, a chance encounter leads you to question the goddess' true motives... resulting in you being sealed away for two centuries.

When you awaken, the world has changed immeasurably, and your surroundings are entirely alien and unknown to you: dark pillars tower high, and in the distance, a mystical shrine thrums quietly. Unique And Unusual Encounters: In SOULRITE, no two foes are the same. Each new enemy comes with its own mechanics, hazards and attack patterns, keeping combat fresh (and the threat of imminent death high).

Recall Forbidden Magic: From the life-stealing vampiric siphon to the shimmering mystical armor spell, there seems to be no limit to how far your dark powers will reach. Master necromancy and the occult or be driven mad in the attempt.

Items, Gear Galore: Collect the classic staples of RPGs such as healing and mana potions, to more bizarre trinkets and baubles like talismans that allow for underwater breathing, vigor-leeching blades and magic-imbued staves.

Devious Bosses And Deadly Mechanics: Surviving reality-shattering magic and steering a ship while dodging cannon fire are just a few examples of what you'll have to do to defeat the cunning and callous bosses of SOULRITE!
