ShardSpace is a minimalist real-time space strategy game about expansion, fleet routing, and automated drone warfare.

You do not command every unit by hand. Instead, you choose targets, route fleets, build facilities, and read the shape of the battlefield as the whole star system shifts around your decisions.
Expand From One Planet

Send drones to capture nearby planets, establish production, and grow your fleet. Every expansion changes the front line, and every planet can become the launch point for the next conflict.
The core interaction is simple: select a planet, choose where the fleet goes, then watch the line advance, fracture, or collapse under pressure.
Automated Battles, Your Strategy

Once an attack order is given, your drones automatically seek targets and engage. Your focus is not on every shot fired, but on when to rally, when to split your force, and when to sacrifice units for a decisive position.
Mass your fleet to break through enemy defenses
Split forces to raid rear production planets
Trade units for buildings that can change the battle
Hold key nodes and drag the enemy into a war of attrition
Three Unit Types, Clear Counters
Frigates: cheap, numerous, and ideal for spreading across the map while pressuring carriers.
Destroyers: heavy firepower that clears frigates and damages structures quickly, but takes longer to produce.
Carriers: release swarms of micro-drones, applying constant pressure that can tear through destroyers' heavy armor.
Sacrifice Units to Build

Construction is not free in ShardSpace. To build facilities, you must sacrifice existing drones.
Do you invest in constructors and snowball your fleet production, or fortify a key planet with armor and missiles to hold the line? Every build is a strategic tradeoff.
Awaken Ancient Megastructures
Dormant ancient megastructures are scattered across the system. Restoring them takes resources and timing, but once activated, they can bring overwhelming advantages to the battlefield.
