Dream Abstract removes the campaign standing between you and the systems that define your character.
Every skill, item, crafting system, and path to power is open from the start. Experiment immediately, pursue the mechanics that interest you, and shape your character around the build you want to create.
There is no prescribed route through the game. How you grow—and when you are ready to face the final encounter—is up to you.
Build for the Guardians
The Curse Guardians are the ultimate test of everything you have created.
Each month, a new combination of three Guardians takes control of the final encounter. Every Guardian brings distinct mechanics, offensive strengths, and defensive advantages—making some builds naturally better suited to the challenge than others.
Study the lineup. Identify its weaknesses. Forge the best build to defeat the Guardians.
Compete on execution
Dream Abstract features an asynchronous leaderboard built around active combat time.
The clock advances while you are fighting, not while you are studying systems, comparing items, or planning your next move. Take the time you need to understand your build—then prove its strength through efficient progression, mechanical execution, and mastery of the final encounter.

Single-player with persistent online progression
Dream Abstract is played solo, but requires Steam and a persistent internet connection. Your Dreams, progression and items are saved to your Dream Abstract account, while online services support competitive progression and asynchronous global, friends and community leaderboards. No separate account creation is required. There is no offline mode, co-op or PvP.
