Dash Through Light
Light slows the player character down and drains them of their life force. By dashing it is possible to cover short distances through illuminated spaces. Go ahead and try it, who knows what you might find on the other side.

Find Lanterns
Lanterns are scattered across the game world, they are crucial to solving puzzles. Unfortunately you can only hold one at a time and won't be able to dash while doing so. Each lantern has a purpose and sometimes you will just have to part ways from it. Don't worry, you'll surely find another one soon.

Manipulate Shadows
Light is the main power source in this world. It powers machines, setting mechanical parts in motion. Use them to manipulate the shadows and open paths for you to move through.

Interact with NPCs
Interact with NPCs and lure them into activating machines for you. Use any means available to explore the world.

Discover a world of light and shadows
Chasing Shadows is a top-down puzzle adventure set in a world shaped by light and shadow. The game encourages exploration through environmental puzzles, challenging players to avoid illuminated areas while manipulating shadows to open new paths. In order to solve puzzles, the player is required to understand the logic of various objects found in the world. Just like the player's health and ability to move, their behaviour is tied to light and shadow. The player is rewarded for discovering hidden areas that reveal bits and pieces of the world's history and lore.
