Spirit Axis is a surreal dark-fantasy action adventure RPG built on Octology: a spiritual cosmology of eight angles of existence that shape every part of the game, from character creation and progression to world design, story, and combat.
Awaken as a newborn golem in a dream-like world of stone, mist, and buried divinity. Guided by the members of a strange church-family, you are sent into a riven world where sin, virtue, and balance shape your experience.
Explore a surreal world where what is hidden is meant to be revealed in the right order. Fight monsters, uncover lost places, meet wandering souls, and pursue discoveries through observation, dialogue, and action rather than quest markers or checklist design. The Bellhouse Church serves as your anchor: a sacred hub where family members guide your path, teach you, travel with you, trade with you, and help transform what you recover.
At the center of Spirit Axis is the struggle to remain in balance. Your conduct gives rise to Sin and Virtue, and the balance between them changes how the world receives you. The selfish path offers short-term power and harsher consequences. The virtuous path offers mercy, endurance, and a gentler world. Death is part of this spiritual economy: what is material may be lost, while deeper forms of progress endure.
This is not a game about perfection. It is a game about the self under pressure: how one lives, what one indulges, what one resists, and what becomes of a world when one of its eight aspects is ignored or overfed.
