Until Dusk is a relentless arcade zombie FPS built around one rule: the fight doesn't stop just because you have something else to do.
Battle escalating hordes while objectives drag you across a military installation overrun by the undead. Hunt for supplies, build your arsenal, complete objectives, and make split-second decisions while the horde stays on your heels.
Every run starts manageable. It doesn't stay that way.
As the rounds climb, stronger infected enter the fight and objectives become increasingly dangerous to complete. Weapons, attachments, scorestreaks, loot boxes, Golden Caches, and support drops give you the firepower to keep going—but standing still is rarely an option.

Every run leaves a mark.
The Career Menu tracks your lifetime performance across Until Dusk, including combat statistics, weapon-specific kills, objectives, and other milestones. Equip unlocked player titles, track your accomplishments, and see how your record grows from run to run.
Complete challenges built around weapons, objectives, survival, and Challenge Mode to unlock weapon camos, weapon effects, prestige rewards, and player titles.
Then take those accomplishments back into the fight and chase your place on the online leaderboards.
You may die every run. Your progress doesn't.

Night falls. The gas starts moving. Get out before it takes the map with you.
Challenge Mode transforms Until Dusk into a darker, high-risk race against the clock. Fight through the military base at night as a toxic gas ring closes around the battlefield, steadily shrinking the space between you, the undead, and your only way out.
Entering the gas can mean greater rewards—but surviving there requires a gas mask and a limited supply of filters. Visibility drops. The world sounds different behind the mask. And something else is waiting inside.
The Gas Lurker hunts within the contamination.
Complete objectives, earn coins, raid supply crates for filters, and decide how long you're willing to stay in the fight before making your escape. The helicopter becomes cheaper as the gas closes, rewarding players willing to stay in the fight—but wait too long and it leaves without you.
Challenge Mode isn't about surviving forever.
It's about knowing when to get out.

Every run is a chance to leave someone else behind.
Until Dusk features global online leaderboards built around the things that matter most when the horde starts piling up. Push deeper into the rounds, rack up kills, tear through objectives, and chase faster completion times as you fight your way up the rankings.
Your best performances become records for other players to chase, while every new run gives you another chance to beat your personal best, climb another position, or knock somebody else out of theirs.
Survival is only part of the competition. Highest Round, Total Kills, Objectives Completed, and Objective Completion Time each offer a different way to prove yourself.
The run eventually ends.

Does Until Dusk support controllers?
Not yet. Until Dusk currently supports keyboard and mouse. Controller support is planned for a future update.

Yes. Until Dusk supports ultrawide resolutions.
Is Until Dusk single-player or multiplayer?
Until Dusk is a single-player game. Online leaderboards let you compete against other players' scores and records, but there is currently no multiplayer or co-op mode.
Is there an endless mode?
Standard Play is built around surviving increasingly difficult rounds for as long as you can while completing objectives and building your arsenal. Challenge Mode adds a time limit, closing gas ring, and helicopter escape.
What is Challenge Mode?
Challenge Mode is a nighttime variant with a closing toxic gas ring, gas masks and limited filters, increased rewards inside the contamination, the Gas Lurker, and a helicopter you must reach before time runs out.
Does the game have progression between runs?
Yes. Career progression tracks lifetime and weapon-specific statistics, while challenges unlock weapon camos, weapon effects, prestige rewards, and player titles. Daily challenges provide additional rotating goals.
Do I always start with the same weapon?
Normally, you begin a run with your starting pistol and build your arsenal as you play. Weapon Tokens can be used to bring a favorite weapon into a future run instead.
Are there online leaderboards?
Yes. Global leaderboards track multiple categories, including highest round, kills, objectives completed, and objective completion performance.
Does Until Dusk have difficulty settings?
The game is designed around escalating difficulty. Early rounds begin manageable, while later rounds introduce stronger infected and increasingly dangerous objectives.
Does Until Dusk have graphics settings?
Yes. Current video options include Display Mode, Resolution, VSync, Frame Limit, Motion Blur, and FOV.
Does Until Dusk support Steam Cloud?
Yes. Steam Cloud support is integrated for supported game data.
Does Until Dusk have Steam Achievements?
Steam Achievements are planned for the full release.
Can I play the game now?
Yes. Until Dusk currently has an open Steam Playtest. You can request access directly from the Steam store page.
When will Until Dusk release?

Does Until Dusk have extraction mechanics?
Challenge Mode includes light extraction elements. Classified Files can be discovered throughout Fort Duskfall, but finding one isn't enough—you need to survive the run and successfully escape with it to secure the file and its rewards. Until Dusk does not use a persistent loot inventory or gear-loss system between runs.
What are Classified Files?
Classified Files are collectible documents hidden throughout Challenge Mode that reveal more about what happened at Fort Duskfall. Find one, survive the closing gas, and escape with it to permanently add the file to your collection. Successfully extracting Classified Files can also unlock exclusive titles and camos.
